PAC-UK service user and team member Michelle Evans said: “PAC-UK has had such a great impact on my life, that I decided to return the favour in the hope of raising money for the team and support people just like me!"
“I trained very hard for my run to ensure I managed the 10K in an hour, and despite facing injury during training I managed to run the race in 60 minute and 28 seconds. The weather was incredible on the day and it was so lovely to do a race in one of London's iconic parks, and passing the zoo was a highlight of mine; it is great encouragement when you have a camel staring at you mid race.
“The race was perfectly organised with great refreshments and I was also impressed at the support from Timpsons (I am aware that Mr Timpson and his wife are big adoption supporters). My ankle is in recovery, but I am so happy to have the t-shirt and medal to commemorate our achievement.”
