In April 2017 the Government passed an amendment to the Children and Social Work Bill relating to the education of previously looked-after children. There will be a new duty requiring local authorities to appoint a Virtual School Head to offer information and advice to the parents and special guardians of previously looked-after children, and to their children's schools.

Here at PAC-UK, as part of our Department for Education grant, we have developed an online consultation for adoptive and Special Guardian families to ask their views about these changes.

This consultation will give you the opportunity to voice your hopes and experiences of virtual school involvement, and what you can contribute to making it work with regard to the revisions.
