Adoption Reform Update – November 2014 Addendum
Improving Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services
The Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Taskforce is seeking suggestions from professionals who work with children and young people, directly or indirectly, about how mental health services could be improved for children and young people. They are looking for a diverse range of professionals from different sectors (not just medical, but teachers, social workers, youth workers, therapists, etc).
The consultation looks at:
- data and standards
- access and prevention
- a co-ordinated system
- vulnerable groups and inequalities
They particularly want practical solutions and steps that may not have occurred to Taskforce members - ideas can be short, medium or long term. Please note that not all the survey questions need to be answered. Further details in attached briefing document.
The responses will inform the Taskforce’s recommendations, which will be published and presented to ministers in the spring.

We are keen that professionals who work on adoption complete the questionnaire. Can you, therefore, send to any contact you think may be interested in responding?
Thank you for your co-operation.
