The Knowledge Hub for Family and Friends Care is a new, free online resource.
The hub aims to bring together the voluntary sector, stakeholders and local authority professionals in one place to help better support family and friends carers and improve front-line service delivery by sharing information and best practice and encouraging service link up and peer-to-peer learning.
Areas on the hub include FAQs, links to key publications and research. Members will be able to start their own threads and topics and upload documents and links.
The hub has been launched by the Department for Education working with Family Rights Group, Buttle UK, Grandparents Plus, Grandparents Association and Fostering Network. It follows on from the success of the Fostering Information Exchange, also hosted by the Knowledge Hub.
The instructions for registering on the Fostering Information Exchange (see "How to join" here) may also be helpful when registering for the Family and Friends Care hub.
