Advice and Support
Our purpose is to provide anyone who has been affected by adoption or other forms of permanent care, as well as the professionals who support them, with expert, independent advice and counselling.
National PAC-UK Advice Line
Our National PAC-UK Advice Line is available on 0300 1800 090 and is staffed by qualified and experienced PAC-UK counsellors/social workers who can provide advice and information on all aspects of adoption and other forms of permanent care. It is also the first port of call for enquiries about PAC-UK counselling and our other services. Like all PAC-UK’s services, the Advice Line is independent and confidential, within a safeguarding framework. Our London Education Advice Line is open each Thursday during school term times between 12.00pm and 2.00pm on the same number.
PLEASE NOTE: PAC-UK offices and Advice Lines close at 1.00pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and normal opening times will resume from Thursday 2 January 2025 – we will respond to all messages at the earliest opportunity once we reopen. Family Action's FamilyLine (0808 802 6666) is open throughout the festive period (except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day). Samaritans (116 123) and ChildLine (0800 1111) are both open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year if you need any support.
